Kristen Anne Bell (1980) is an incredibly popular American singer and actor. Bell was raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) who is a nurse as well as Tom Bell, a television news director. The mother of Kristen is Polish and her father German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen developed a talent in the performing arts from a young stage. She attended her audition in 1992 and got a role on Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell's mom introduced her to an agent before she was 13, and she was subsequently cast in television advertisements for newspapers and commercials. She also started taking private acting classes around this time. Bell was credited with a minor performance as a character Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School, where she was a member of the musical and drama clubs. The Wizard of Oz production in her high school earned Bell the starring Dorothy character. Bell went to the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City, where she studied Musical Theatre in New York City. In 2001, Bell quit her university in order to portray the character of Becky on Tom Sawyer. In the was the same year that she also was the first to be credited in Pootie Tang (2001), however, her performance was cut and her appearance exists only in the credit sequence. Bell was in the Broadway revival The Crucible starring Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
