Christina Haack was conceived in Anaheim, California. Her first job post-school was as an agent for real estate. In this industry, she made friends with Tarek. This couple enjoyed great prosperity until the 2008 stock market crash that resulted in a number of real estate investors and homeowners go under. Tarek El Moussa & Christina El Moussa were nearly insolvent due to the stock market crash in 2008. They went from a home that cost $6,000 per month, to a $750/month rental. The economy as well as their business gradually recovered. HGTV & Rise to Fame Tarek asked an acquaintance to create a HGTV video audition in the year 2011, which featured him as well as Christina flipping over a house. The tape ended up in the executive offices of a production company called Pie Town Productions. They fell in love Tarek and Christina. The contract was agreed by the couple and HGTV. Flip of Flop was launched in the month of April 2013. Between 2013 and 2017, the series ran 92 episodes. Christina and Tarek purchased properties in Orange County that were usually mid-income homes. They spent the next weeks renovating the home to ensure that they can flip it into a profitable return. Tarek takes care of demolition, renovations and design. Christina keeps everything running according to schedule.
