Bella Poarch is a Filipino born to biological Filipino parents. The birth of her daughter was on the 9th of February in 1997. Her grandmother lived in the areas of slums for three years until she turned 3 years old, when she was adopted. Her adoptive father is white American who has military experience, and her mother who adopted her is Filipino. She says that her and her brother who was adopted when a baby, were abused until they enlisted. Her family traveled across the country to San Francisco for a few months to live with her aunt before moving to Texas in the year 13 due to her father's need to undergo bypass surgery. She claims that the physical assault subsided but she was still battling the psychological abuse her father suffered in her home. At the age of 18, she joined her first service in the United States Navy. Poarch began her TikTok account in April 202020. She quickly rose to the top of the charts, garnering more than 40,000,000 fans within just eight months. Her most notable success came from her video for Millie B's hit song Soph Aspin Send. She lip-synced and jumped rhythmically to the tune in a zoomed out video. Following her joining TikTok she created a YouTube as well as a Twitter account in order to make the most of the fame. The popularity of Poarch grew exponentially in the month of December 2020. It was reported that she attracted the attention of two large professional Esports organizations. FaZe Clan, 100 Thieves have expressed an interest to have her as a freelance content creator to promote their brands.
