In Down Twisted, she made her film debut. She gained fame for playing one of her most important parts in Scream. The film was very successful commercially and made eleven times the budget. It was highly praised by the critics. The actress reprised her character in all the three sequels to the film. She reached new heights of fame after her major part in Friends the sitcom that is a hit. As a result of her contribution she was nominated for and received numerous awards. The series was immensely popular and ran for 10 years. Her most recent works include a supporting role in the film drama Mothers and Daughters. The film won her the TV Guide Award as a result of her portrayal as a character in Friends. The Golden Derby Award was also awarded to her in recognition of her role in the film Cougartown.
